At Progression Events, we believe the future of event production is here - and it’s digital, precise, and collaborative from anywhere in the world. Our recent work on the Bitpanda x NFL UK Launch at Unit X, London, is a perfect example of how advanced 3D planning is transforming the way world-class events are delivered.

Remote Collaboration: No Site Visits, No Problem: One of the most remarkable aspects of this project was that our client never set foot on site before the build. Every detail - from initial concept to final installation - was planned, visualised, and signed off remotely. This seamless process was made possible by our commitment to 3D-first event design and production.

Laser Scanning & 3D Venue Modelling: It all started with a visit to Unit X, where our team conducted a high-resolution laser scan of the entire venue. This gave us a digital foundation with 1mm accuracy over 100m, capturing every wall, beam, doorway, and detail. We then used this data to build a precise 3D model of the venue - a virtual canvas for creative collaboration and technical planning.

Designing the Event in 3D: With our digital venue model in place, we began dropping in every element: set and scenic designs, furniture layouts, staging, lighting and sound plots, and even custom installations. Our 3D workflow meant that every piece - no matter how bespoke - could be visualised and adjusted to fit the space perfectly, before a single item arrived on site.

From Initial Renders to Final Reality: Throughout the planning process, we shared initial 3D renders with the client, enabling them to review and approve every aspect of the event remotely. These digital previews covered everything from the overall guest flow to the smallest scenic detail. Once production was underway, we used the same 3D files to brief our build teams, ensuring that what was signed off in the virtual world matched exactly what was delivered in reality.

The results? Final shots from the event show a flawless transformation of Unit X into the “Gallery of Greatness” - with every installation, lighting effect, and scenic feature lining up precisely with the 3D plan.

The Future of Event Production: This project is proof that 3D planning isn’t just a nice to have - it’s the new standard for efficient, creative, and reliable event delivery. With 1mm accuracy, remote collaboration, and the ability to visualise every element before build day, we’re able to minimise surprises, reduce site visits, and deliver world-class results - no matter where our clients are based.
